In a high-end apartment project located in the heart of Paris, the client expressed clear demands for the sound insulation and thermal performance of the balconies and windows. Given the bustling urban environment of Paris, the impact of external noise and climate change on residential comfort cannot be overlooked. After understanding the client’s needs, Jiulong Company recommended the use of insulated glass.

Insulated glass is a building material formed by spacing two or more sheets of glass apart using a sealed structure, typically filled with inert gas. This type of glass not only effectively blocks external noise but also provides excellent thermal insulation throughout different seasons, ensuring a comfortable indoor environment.

Considering the climate characteristics of Paris and the upscale positioning of the apartments, we selected a configuration of 5+12A+5mm. Specifically, both the outer and inner layers are made of 5mm thick tempered glass, with a 12mm air layer in between, which creates excellent thermal insulation. This configuration prevents heat loss during winter and effectively blocks external heat intrusion in summer. Additionally, the middle air layer also contributes to the glass’s sound insulation capabilities, making it especially suitable for residences located near busy streets in the city center.

During the installation process, we paid careful attention to the placement of the glass, the frame structure, and the sealing to ensure maximum performance of the entire system. By using high-quality sealant and reinforced frame designs, we ensured air and water tightness, enhancing the overall effectiveness. This meticulous craftsmanship not only increased the durability of the glass but also effectively extended its lifespan.

The client adopted Jiulong’s recommendations, and after the apartment was completed, they shared their feelings with us. They not only appreciated the aesthetic appeal of the glass but also experienced a significant improvement in their living environment.
